Florida treats openings and roofing as different trades. Look for the license that matches the work, an approval that matches the window, and a company that can handle the envelope you actually need. It is not hurricane-proof. The assembly only matches the test if the size, design pressure, anchors, and opening match the approval.

Ask for the NOA or FL# on the actual windows and doors, not a brochure photo. In the HVHZ, products must be approved for HVHZ use, which may be a Miami-Dade NOA or a Florida Product Approval approved for the HVHZ. Low-E coatings can help with heat.
