Eligible Florida homeowners can apply for a free wind-mitigation inspection. The report is the roadmap. If you qualify, a grant can go toward recommended upgrades such as opening protection (impact windows and doors) and certain roof work. Grant amount, income and age tiers, and what products count are program rules. Statewide Windows & Doors can be the licensed contractor on a qualifying job once you have that inspection path. We do not control the state portal.

How the program actually runs

  1. Inspect. Get the free wind-mitigation inspection through the program. Keep the report.
  2. Strengthen. Use the recommendations. Typical items include roof-to-deck, roof-to-wall, secondary water barrier, and opening protection (windows, exterior doors, garage doors) when those are on the report.
  3. Save. Ask your carrier what the report and the completed work do for the hurricane portion of the premium. Do not assume a number until they confirm it.

  • Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval is on the actual windows or roof system

Is Statewide’s $10,000 relief the same as MSFH?

No. That is a separate company offer when it is running. Do not mix the two on paper. Ask which dollars are state grant and which are a Statewide promotion.
